Private Client Solicitor (BR0001)
Closing Date: 13th Feb 2026.We are looking for a qualified solicitor to join our fantastic expanding and busy Private Client department. The firm has a friendly, professional ethos and we are looking for like-minded individuals who wish to develop their experience across a broad range of Private Client services in a supportive, client-focused environment. Newly Qualified solicitors will be considered if they have relevant experience (min. 2 years dedicated private client experience for NQs).
Role Description
To provide high quality legal advice and services in the Private Client area, assisting individuals with Estate Planning, Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, etc., ensuring excellent client service in line with Baldwin & Robinson's approachable, friendly ethos. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless transactions and uphold our high standards of legal excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on drafting Wills and updating existing Wills;
- Prepare and advise on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) and Deputyship applications;
- Administer Estates: acting as executor or representing executors, liaising with HMRC, probate registry, beneficiaries;
- Handle Trusts: both in setting up and advising on administration;
- Maintain accurate case files, manage deadlines and ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements;
- Liaise with clients in person, virtually or by telephone; ensure clients are kept informed and supported throughout;
- Actively undertake business development;
- Build client relationships;
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments when needed.
Experience & Skills
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience in Private Client;
- Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs, Estate Administration and related legislation;
- Excellent drafting skills;
- Excellent client care skills, managing multiple files, meeting deadlines;
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Good IT skills, familiar with case management systems, ability to adopt firm's tools.
Qualifications
- Admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales;
- Eligibility to practice, full compliance with SRA rules;
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) record.

Commercial Property Paralegal (BR0002)
Closing Date: 27th Feb 2026.We are looking for an experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to join our busy Commercial Property department. The firm has a friendly, professional ethos and we are looking for like-minded individuals who wish to develop their experience across a broad range of commercial property services in a supportive, client-focused environment. Only candidates with a minimum of 2 years property experience will be considered.
Role Description
This role will enable you to work across both commercial and residential property matters, providing an interesting and varied caseload - weighted towards commercial property law. The nature of the work that we undertake will present the successful candidate with an opportunity to advance their property knowledge and further develop their legal career in property law, including Landlord & Tenant matters, buying and selling freehold properties, leases, secured lending and other general commercial work.
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting and greeting clients, where necessary;
- Land Registry - incl. obtaining title documents, lodging applications, registrations, requisitions and other searches;
- Completing legal forms and producing replies to Commercial Property Standard Enquiries;
- Post completion tasks including submitting SDLT returns online, dealing with Form MR01, MR04, etc.
- Dealing with pre-completion requests and enquiries;
- Liaising with clients and other third parties incl. lenders, agents, mortgage brokers, etc., to progress matters;
- Matter progression;
- Preparing letters and legal documents;
- Client onboarding, with full knowledge and understanding of money laundering (AML) compliance;
- Preparation of bills, completion statements and deal with accounts queries;
- Telephone and door answering as part of a team;
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years legal property experience with a strong commercial property background being a distinct advantage;
- Ability to work autonomously but also as part of team;
- Attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
